Night Dancer is set in Nigeria, a fascinating country and one of the most rapidly growing economies in the world. Tradition and progress stand face to face. All those contradictions meet in the big city of Enugu. The young girl, Mma, is trying to make her way through life, which has not been merciful with her. As an orphan it is difficult to find a place in a world that couldn’t care less about her. What’s more, she carries memories of her dead mother that she has not begun to cope with. Who was that woman that deserted her family? Everyone keeps reminding Mma of the scandal her mother was responsible for. Perhaps the answer lies in the memories her mother wrote down. The further Mma progresses in hear search for answers, the more questions present themselves.
